small boat bugging

Out last night 15' aluminum with Peter and 7 year old grandson, Nathan. Sloppy outside (red flag up) so went around short jetty. Set nets then fished and checked nets to learn how on the boat.
About second net got one legal then at least 50 (we counted past 40 and quit) shorts. Not even many that were close to legal.
Wind laid down at dark and had enough moon to see a bit.
Nathan had Nana cook the bug for him when we got home and ate almost all of the tail. Another fisherman/hooper for sure!
