Here's the planned schedule for the remainder of 2009.

April 11
May 9
June 6
July 11
August 8
September 12
October 10
November 14
December 12

Format is the same:  Entry fee is $10 with largest legal fish taking all.  No sharks, rays, skates, etc.  Very simple format; no sponsors, no raffles, no prizes, no points, no hastle.
Start at 7am with weigh in at 2pm.  Weigh in and post tournament pot luck at Dana Point Jet Ski.  Parking will be available for those early launchers.  Gate to the launch will be open at 6:30am and closed at 7:30, but will re-open at 9am.  You can launch any other place you want to, just make sure you've checked in and kicked in your ante.  Sign up for what you will be bringing to the pot-luck.

I'll be out there Danny. I'm going to bring some potato salad.

Ryan and Dino should be out as well.

A couple of fishermen have asked if we can have two divisions for our monthly tournament; a big fish category and a bass category.  A fisherman could enter both or either pool.  Any comments or suggestions?

Thanks,

Tim

2 div has the chance of expanding the pots, or makes them smaller, more winners, or one big winner. Many people will enter both, if they are feeling lucky. One time at a diffrent event like these i entered both. I lost the bass div, but won the big fish with a bass. I dont see any real big problems in doing this, except it makes calculating winners a bit harder  Grin

On a side note, more people carry around $20 bills instead of $10, but with bait being $10 some might want the extra 10 for bait. You could always try it once and see how it goes. Keeping it simple is always good too.

The reason a couple of us entered was because it was small, inexpensive and no big hoopla.  There are dozens of big tournaments around with semi-pro fishermen working them.  Keep it simple and fun.
